qtherapy is a psychotherapy and counselling service for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered individuals and couples, and for anyone who has a gay parent or child, or has learned that their partner is gay.

We are fortunate in Yorkshire to have some excellent free-of-charge counselling services offered by lgbt organisations. But if you'd prefer to find a therapist for yourself - perhaps because you want to work with a therapist knowing that the number of sessions offered isn't limited by what's available, or because you want someone with particular experience of working with couples, then this is an alternative.

And not the only one. There are other therapists who offer a service to our community, but I'm here if you'd like to see me.

My name is Mark Jarmuz.

This is the place to find out what you need about me, but also to find out about counselling and psychotherapy in general.

My aim is to give you at least some of the information you might need in order to decide whether therapy is right for you, and to choose what kind of therapist you would prefer. I'm an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means that I use a number of styles of working - as you will see in the pages to follow - but I have a bit of a leaning towards Gestalt (you'll find out more about that later, if you don't know about it already).

All contacts are treated absolutely confidentially and I'm very happy to give you information on other suitable services in your area.
